When trying to choose the best bang for your buck I looked at a few things that needed to be perfect. For one, The overall strength of the material was an important factor. To keep light pollution down as much as possible and material that wouldn’t rip or tear was an absolute must. This product showed that it was up to the task and more so.
The rings around the duct holes had to be sturdy, and we (myself and my wife) were not disappointed. Overall set up was very quick, Taking about 10 minutes to run the duct work into the tent and set up the lights. A slight issue with the zipper, It felt kind of cheap. However, It created a perfect seal to keep outside light out.
Overall, we gave this product a 5 star rating due to it’s versatility to be either a dry tent or used in a hydroponics setting. It’s quality was top notch and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s in the market for something sturdy that will last a long time and give enough space and flexibility to grow just about anything you want.
CoolGrows 2x2x4 Feet Small Indoor Mylar Hydroponics Grow Tent (24″x 24″x 48″)
I chose this as a best value because it does everything a small grow tent should do and more. Lots of tents tend to have a plastic reflective coating on them, but this one uses long lasting Mylar. It came in a discreet box for those of you who wish to grow shady oregano.
Speaking of discreet, So is the form factor for this tent. Easily fits into most standard closets, and packs away nicely as well, while still maintaining enough room for solid canopy growth.
Did we mention it’s really affordable? Like, super good. Just about anyone who wants to wade into the microgreens or indoor gardening hobby should look into getting this little thing, its fantastic.
MCombo Wooden Garden Cold Frame Greenhouse
My premium pick was the Mcombo wooden garden greenhouse. Sure.. it’s not a tent, and it’s not really for indoor use.. Although one could argue it would fit incredibly well inside a sun room or enclosed deck. Truth be told not everyone here is doing sketchy stuff and having a nice animal proof mini greenhouse sitting on your porch is really cool.
Given it’s made of wood and frosted pvc, It’s safe for you to assume this thing is pretty tough and ready for heavy rain or anything else nature can throw at it. With magnetic closing doors and adjustable shelf, it’s literally perfect for home herb gardeners. For something of this quality though, The price really can’t be beat and you should consider getting this if you’ve got the room outside.

I included this one on the list because it comes with everything a beginner would need to get started on day one. Full disclosure, I did not buy this product. I have not tried it personally, However I know someone who has, and it was recommended to me at one point in time.

Really, it’s more of a luxury for those who are looking to get into growing indoors and have a bit of cash to burn on the hobby, Or perhaps your starting with nothing and would like to get everything you might need to get started in 1 go. Since I don’t own this item personally i can’t vouch for it, However a friend of mine did buy this and he had a lot of good things to say about it. He did say the light was fairly low quality, which is unfortunate. Luckily lights are pretty easy and affordable to change out..

Plant Growing Tent Oxford Cloth
To go to the other side of the price spectrum, this grow tent is extraordinarily well priced for those of us who don’t want to spend big bucks on a hobby. At half the price of the cheapest item on this list, It’s definitely a golden opportunity to get into the hobby on a budget.
Interestingly enough, My first grow tent was very similar to this design and price point. I used to stuffing out of that thing, and I got every pennies worth out of it. Sadly you do tent to get what you pay for. For 10 bucks more you can get a grow tent of Superior durability but if you take good care of er’ she’ll take good care of you.
